Decorative art Decorative art uses a wide range of exciting painting techniques that enables anyone to create beautiful folk-art style decoration. Using decorative art techniques, such as OneStroke or the Art of Brushstrokes, you can decorate almost anything: greetings cards, furniture, walls, trays, bowls, candles... the only limit is your imagination. (For examples of what you can do with decorative art take a look at my Portfolio.) Decorative art painting techniques are easy to learn and, because you can create stunning results after just one lesson, very rewarding. My short video demonstration of painting a heart-shaped leaf, shows how the colours are laid down to create the typical OneStroke effect. With a little practice you will be able to create beautiful and unique gifts for family and friends. Many people enjoy decorative art simply as a relaxing and enjoyable hobby, but others go on to sell their work at craft fairs and other outlets, finding it a useful source of additional income. If you are interested in learning decorative art come along to one of my scheduled classes (these are a great way to meet new friends), or if you would prefer more tailored lessons, I also offer tuition for individuals or small groups.
